How joining works
You come in
through someone you know.
Krypton has no open sign-up. A member who knows you lets you in, your account is made on your phone, and you’re never asked for a phone number or email.

A member you know sends you a link
Open an invitation link from someone already on Krypton. Once they confirm it’s you, you’re in, and they become your first backer.
No link yet? Install Krypton, tap “Ask for an invite”, and send your request link to a member you know.

Your account is made on your phone
Your keys are created on your phone and stay there. Enter the name your fam know you by — it can’t be changed later. There’s no phone number or email to give.

Set a PIN and keep 18 words
Choose a six-digit PIN, and you can get 18 English words to write on paper. With the words and your PIN, your account comes back on a new phone. You can also make them later in Settings.

Make your page
Add a photo, one line about yourself and three photos that show who you are — or leave any of them for later. Like everything else, it’s sealed on your phone before it leaves.

Become fam with members you know
Send a fam request, scan each other’s QR code, or send a fam link that works once within 24 hours. The first person besides your inviter who becomes your fam is your second backer, and with two you’re a full member. For the first 1,000 people, one is enough.
